I'll Meet You Exactly Where You Are

Almost all of my clients come to me to celebrate something - an anniversary, special birthday, leaving a toxic relationship, the beginning of a new marriage, a new sense of self.

But as the saying goes, there's always an exception to the rule. Miss D. called and inquired about a session and her story and her reason for doing a session stopped me in my tracks.

We all know someone who was affected by COVID, but here was a client of mine whose life was turned UPSIDE down by COVID. She lost her husband of over 20 years and was left behind to raise their three children on her own. Her husband had a thriving business and now she is responsible for running that as well.

Miss D's reason for doing a session wasn't anything to celebrate. She wanted to capture this dark time in her life, but she also wanted it to be a reminder of how strong she is. I wanted the mood of her session to reflect this combination of heaviness and strength.

So friend, whatever your reason for doing a shoot, I'll come alongside you, meet you right where you are. I'll laugh with you. I'll cry with you. At the end of the day I'm rooting for you no matter where you are.
